How to add a Rental Contract?

A rental contract serves as a critical document in the realm of property leasing, offering clarity, protection, and a structured framework for both landlords and tenants.

Getting Started

A rental contract is the agreement that each one of your guests will follow, most of the time, the rental contract will have the house rules. Please, be advised that this won't be attached to your OTA bookings on the automated messages. However, each time a guest books a direct booking, they will agree with your default Rental Contract.

If you want your guests to sign the agreement digitally, you can use our Autohost Integration. Click here for more information.

How to add a Rental Contract?

You can add a rental contract from the Setup section of your account.

Go to Setup > Booking & Payments > Rental ContractsAnd click on the Add Rental Contract button.

This screen will appear.

  • Contract name - This is the name that you want to give to the contract.
  • Description - You can add a short description of what the contract will have. For example, this includes the rules, the insurance, and what's allowed on the property.
  • Default - You can enable this option if you want to use the same rental contract for all your units.
  • Upload Contract - Here's where you can upload your contract in a PDF format.

Reviewing the Contract

Double-checking and making sure that the contract has the correct information is fundamental. That's why we allow you to view the contract once it is published.

Click the rental contract again once created, and you will see this drop-down menu under the Actions button, which will allow you to view the contract. An external tab will appear with the PDF file.

Archiving a Contract

Replacing a contract can be done with ease by archiving a contract and following the steps explained above to create a new one.

To archive a contract, you need to select the three-dot menu under the Rental Contracts section.

Congratulations! You did great and now you have a contract that will prevent disputes, give clarity on terms, legally protect you, and a lot more! If you have any questions, rely on your onboarding representative or reach out to our support team at support@jurny.com.
