This guide walks you through how to activate Property Protection Insurance Coverage in your Jurny dashboard. You’ll learn how to enable it, select which platforms it applies to, and how to optionally add a revenue-generating markup.

What Is Property Protection Coverage?
Jurny's Property Protection Insurance offers peace of mind by covering potential guest damages. It’s globally available and can be activated per property with just a few clicks.
Note: This feature is available for all properties worldwide, no matter the location.
Where to Find It in Your Dashboard

Log in to your Jurny account

Navigate to the Listings section

Select the specific property you want to enable protection for

Go to the Rental Rates tab

Scroll down to find the Property Protection section at the bottom
Step-by-Step: How to Enable Coverage

In the Property Protection section, click Edit
-
Choose where you want to apply the coverage:

✅ Airbnb
-
✅ Other OTAs (like Booking.com, VRBO, Expedia)

✅ Direct Bookings
-

Toggle the coverage On for your desired platforms

(Optional) Add a markup (explained below)

Click Save & Assign
Tip: Once enabled, protection coverage is automatically added to the nightly rate and shown in the price breakdown for each new reservation.
Platform Options: Airbnb, OTAs, and Direct Bookings
You can control where the protection is applied:

Airbnb – Applies to all Airbnb reservations

Other OTAs – Includes platforms like Booking.com, VRBO, and Expedia

Direct Bookings – Covers reservations made through your website or manually entered
Note: You can mix and match platforms based on your needs.
Optional: Add a Markup for Extra Revenue
You have the option to add a small markup to the insurance fee. This is especially helpful to:

Boost revenue during low seasons

Offset operational costs
To do this:

Enter the markup amount in the field provided

Click Save & Assign
Tip: A modest markup can go unnoticed by guests but can add up to meaningful extra income over time.
Applying Coverage to Existing Bookings
Property Protection only applies to new bookings made after it's enabled.
Caution: If you want to apply coverage to bookings made before enabling the feature, you’ll need to:

Contact your Customer Success Manager (CSM)

Ask them to manually sync and enable coverage for those existing reservations
FAQs
Will guests see the protection fee separately?
No, the insurance fee is built into the nightly rate and reflected in the final price breakdown.
Can I enable coverage for only some listings?
Yes! You can turn it on per property as needed.
Is this available globally?
Yes. All properties—no matter their country—are eligible.
Can I remove the markup later?
Absolutely. Just return to the Rental Rates tab, click Edit, adjust the markup, and save your changes.
