For property managers looking to make adjustments to reservations, the process can be simplified by following these clear steps tailored for various booking channels.
Getting Started
The process can vary depending on which OTA you are getting the reservations from. Check out the following sections to check which guide is the one that you need.
Direct Bookings and VRBO Reservations
For direct bookings and Vrbo reservations, go to the Reservations section.
Locate the reservation that you want to edit, click on the three-dot menu, and click on the "Edit Reservation" option.
From there, make the adjustments and click on the Save button.
Airbnb Reservations
For Airbnb reservations, you can go to the message (inbox) or to the reservation details. From there, Utilize the three-dot menu that appears next to the right-corner section for additional options.
Airbnb reservations offer a specific choice: "Change Reservation."
Click on "Change Reservation" to initiate an alteration request with details.
Once you send this, the guest will be able to accept this or reject this, and the same thing will happen if the guest sends the alteration request.
Booking.com Reservations
For Booking.com reservations, you need to reach out to Booking.com support and request them to make the necessary adjustments.
However, if this is something simple like adding an extra night, you can edit the reservation as if it were a direct booking, just add a new payment to the reservation, manually change the checkout date, and that would be all!

Please, be advised that if you make the changes as if it were a direct booking, this change won't be reflected on Booking.com, however, it will block your calendar there.
If shortening a reservation is needed, you need to contact the OTA directly for adjustments.
Expedia Reservations
After the reservation is created, the manipulation of the booking is possible only if the check-in hasn't started. For any changes, you need to reach out to Expedia support.
If you already got the payment, and you need to change this urgently, we suggest canceling the Expedia Reservation and creating a new reservation manually. By doing this, the Expedia Reservation will no longer appear, and this will transform into a direct booking. This means that all messages and information will be handled in Jurny.
Other OTAs Reservations
For other OTA reservations, make changes in your Jurny account as if they were direct bookings.
