How to create discounts or promo codes?

Create a New Promo Code

Follow these steps to create a new promo code in the system:

Step 1: Open the Booking Engine

1. From the left-hand navigation menu, click Booking Engine.

Note: You must have the appropriate permissions to access the Booking Engine settings.

Step 2: Navigate to Promo Codes

1. Under the Booking Engine section, click Promo Codes.
2. This will open the list of all existing promo codes.

Tip: Review your existing promo codes before creating a new one to avoid duplicate or conflicting promotions.

Step 3: Add a New Promo Code

1. Click the Add New button.
2. The Create Promo Code form will open.

Step 4: Configure the Promo Code

Complete the required fields:

1. Promo Code – Enter the promo code that guests will use during checkout.
2. Assign to Listings – Select the listing(s) where the promo code will be valid.
3. Description – Add a short description to help identify the purpose of the promotion.
4. Discount Type – Choose whether the discount will be:
   • Fixed Amount (e.g., $25 off)
   • Percentage (e.g., 15% off)
5. Discount Value – Enter the value for the selected discount type.

Tip: Use clear and memorable promo code names so they're easy to recognize and manage.

Step 5: (Optional) Add Promo Rules

You can further customize the promo code by adding one or more of the following restrictions:

• Check-in and Check-out Dates – Limit when the promo code can be used based on the guest's stay dates.
• Maximum Occupancy – Restrict the promo code to reservations with a specified number of guests.
• Minimum Stay – Require guests to book a minimum number of nights.
• Limited Guest Phone Numbers – Restrict the promo code to specific guest phone numbers.
• Limited Guest Emails – Restrict the promo code to specific guest email addresses.
• Quantity – Limit the total number of times the promo code can be redeemed.
• Excluded Dates – Prevent the promo code from being used during specific dates or blackout periods.

Note: All of these rules are optional. Only configure the restrictions that apply to your promotion.

Step 6: Save the Promo Code

1. Review all of the promo code settings.
2. Click Save to create the promo code.

Caution: Double-check the assigned listings, discount value, and any restrictions before saving. Incorrect settings may prevent guests from successfully using the promo code or apply discounts unintentionally.
